Recovery Trax
The standard ActionTrax board. Ball-shaped teeth are formed together with the board, so there is nothing that can work loose or get lost. For most situations where a car, SUV or typical expedition vehicle loses traction in sand, mud or snow this is all you need — and a pair weighs a quarter of a kilo less than the metal-teeth version.
What they are for
- Cars, SUVs and pickups at typical expedition weight
- Sand, mud, snow and wet grass
- Drivers who want boards in the car just in case

What every ActionTrax board gives you
Quick-link system
Boards link end to end into a longer run — useful when the wheel has to travel more than one board length, or when you need to bridge a hole.
Handles sized for gloves
Oversized side handles work with gloves on, winter ones included. Sounds trivial until you have to pull buried boards out from under a vehicle at minus ten.
Replaceable teeth
The boards have factory-prepared holes for teeth. On the Metal Teeth version replacement means undoing one bolt and fitting another — no returns, no waiting.
UV protection
Increased UV resistance. Boards usually travel on the roof or on a rack — in full sun for the whole season.
Lifetime warranty
The manufacturer covers the boards with a lifetime warranty on defects, with no vehicle weight limit and no temperature restrictions. Teeth burnt by excessive wheel spin are excluded.
Made in the USA
The boards are made entirely in the United States. The design comes from an FAA-certified jet engine mechanic and Baja 1000 winner, with input from military units and professional off-road drivers.
Frequently asked questions
What do Recovery Trax boards weigh and what are the dimensions?
A pair weighs 7.25 kg, a single board measures 113 × 32.71 × 9 cm. They are always supplied as a pair.
Which colours are available?
In this version: black, blue, orange, red, tan, OD green. All are available in the Szekla4x4.pl shop.
Do the teeth on the standard version wear out?
Yes, as on any board — very slowly when used correctly. They are formed together with the board, so they cannot be replaced individually; in exchange there is nothing that can work loose or be lost in the field.
Are they enough for snow?
For typical snow and slush, yes. On hard ice and frozen ground metal teeth have the advantage, biting into the surface instead of sliding across it.
Where can I buy Recovery Trax in Poland?
At Szekla4x4.pl, the authorised ActionTrax distributor for Poland. Local pickup in Warsaw or shipping across the European Union.
The other version
If you drive on hard, frozen ground or have a heavier vehicle, look at the metal-teeth version.
